Boater Skip Day 2025. Johns river on friday for “boater skip day,” an unofficial annual holiday where people play hooky for a day on the water. There’s a large gathering of boats at bayard point as hundreds and hundreds of boaters possibly skipped work to spend the day on the water.

The annual boater skip day is set for this friday, june 7th, at the bayard sand bar (marker 24), just south of the shands bridge in green cove springs. Boaters are encouraged to meet up at marker 24 at bayard point, just south of the shands.
